Raymond A. Smith

Raymond Alan “Butch” Smith, 58, of Kingston, passed away on July 27, 2016.

He was born on Jan. 3, 1958, in Circleville, to Raymond and Geneva (Congrove) Smith.

At 15, Butch started in the logging industry. In 1999, he became a dedicated employee of Miller Pipeline.

He was a member of Laborers International #423 and Operators Local 18.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Butch is survived by his mother, Geneva; wife, Johanna (Clements) Smith; children, Rayma Smith and Elvis Woodgeard; grandchildren, Breann Smith, Mae and Gage Woodgeard and Makenna Spears; siblings, Rick (Sandy), Charles (Jocene), Thomas (Rhonda), Jeffrey (Angie), Bryan (Joy), David (Dee) Smith and Deb (Randy) Kramer; and by several aunts, uncles and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2016, at the Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville, with burial to follow in Green Summit Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. Monday and 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home in Laurelville.
