Ruth Jean Finley, 55, formerly of Laurelville, went to be with our Lord on July 19, 2016, at Select Specialty Hospital, Columbus. Our loss of our dear sister is Heaven’s gain.
She was born on Oct. 3, 1960, the daughter of the late Paul and Georgia (Hutchinson) Finley.
Ruth worked as a nursing assistant at Westmoreland Place, Chillicothe, for many years, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Ruth is survived by her siblings, Rev. Jim (Marsha) Vandagriff of Adelphi, John (Cindy) Finley of Chillicothe, Don (Chris) Finley of Circleville and Clara (Larry) Dixon of Adelphi; special niece, Kiesha Bennett of Adelphi; and several other nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents, Ruth was also preceded in death by her brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Diane Vandagriff of Columbus.
The family would like to sincerely thank the staff of Edgewood Manor, Lucasville, (Ruth’s second family) for their loving and compassionate care during Ruth’s illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 23, 2016, at the Hill Funeral Home, Kingston, with Rev. Carol Carper and Rev. Jim Vandagriff officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Hill’s.
