Larry E. Peters, age 67, of Ashville, passed away on July 11, 2016.
He was born on Feb. 13, 1949, to Ralph E. and Ruby (Kocher) Peters.
Larry was a Class of 1967 Teays Valley alumni and was a member of Rick Brown VFW Post 7941.
Throughout his career, he worked with WW Williams Co., APE and recently Cummins Welding.
He was a proud Marine veteran serving three tours of duty in Vietnam.
He was preceded in death by father, Ralph E. Peters; and nephew, Michael T. Wanko.
Larry is survived by mother, Ruby M. Peters of Ashville; sister, Bonnie Wanko of Columbus; nephew, Tim Wanko of Cape Coral, Florida; special friend, Leslie Booth of Kentucky; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016, at Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St., Ashville. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until time of services. AMVETS 2256 graveside service and interment will follow at Reber Hill Cemetery, Ashville.
