Danny Thomas Nichols, 59, of Columbus, passed away at Grant Medical Center on June 28, 2016.
He was born on July 11, 1956, in Vinton County, to George and Evelyn (Pratt) Nichols.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Oakley R. Nichols.
Danny is survived by his children, Tammy Gilbert, Ashley McNichols, Jonathan Turner, Otis Israel and Brandon Shipley; five grandchildren; brothers, Harold Lee and Leland John Nichols; sister, Susie Knight; and by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, July 1, 2016, at Wellman Funeral Home, Laurelville, with burial to follow in McGee Cemetery, Vinton County. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Laurelville.
