Gregory C. Swann, age 54, of Circleville, passed away in Circleville on Sunday, June 26, 2016.
He was born March 2, 1962, in Oak Hill, to Carl U. Swann and the late Shirley (Staten) Swann Carpenter.
In addition to his mother, a brother, Daniel Staten, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly (Simmons) Swann; sons, Zachary Swann, Josiah Swann and Joshua Swann; daughters, Emily (Daniel) Edgington and Rachel Swann; and three grandchildren, Teysa, Xander and Jasper. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Gregory enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. His kids and grandkids were his life. He also held his missionary trip to Haiti close to his heart.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at the Mayhew-Brown Funeral Home, 135 Broadway St., Jackson. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2016, at the Christ United Methodist Church, 150 Portsmouth St., Jackson, with Rev. Dirk Elliott and Rev. Frank Smith officiating. A graveside service and burial will follow at Grasslick Cemetery, 178 Pleasant Valley Rd., Given, West Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Elizabeth’s Hope, 157 W. High Street, Circleville, Ohio 43113.
