Warren Leon Reed, 78, of Laurelville, passed away on June 12, 2016, at the Pickering House, Lancaster, with his family by his side.
He was born Aug. 22, 1938, in Circleville, the son of the late William and Rosetta (Pearce) Reed.
On June 23, 1965, he married his wife of 50 years, Mary Lou Seymour, who survives.
He is also survived by daughters, Dorina (Scott) Reed Dupuis of Kennesaw, Georgia, Samantha (Sam) Sayer of Wilmington and Teryl Reed of Circleville; grandchildren, Brandon (Amanda) Jude, Jessica Jude, Tanner Dupuis, Dalton Jude, Garrett Dupuis, Kyann Reed Kersey and Rylin Bowman; three great-grandchildren, Dillan Jude, Kenlynn Jude and Amelia Kersey; brother, Gary (Sheila) Reed; sister-in-law, Teresa Reed; brother-in-law, Jim (Becky) Seymour; and several special nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Amelia Reed, Vincent Reed, James Reed, William Reed, Norma Garner, Mildred Founds, Delores Hickey and twin brother, Loren Reed.
He was a military veteran that served in the Vietnam War and committed 12 years to the United States Navy. It was an honor for him to serve his country.
He enjoyed spending time at home with his wife, their horses and his beloved dog, Daisy. He was also very fond of Mary’s cooking.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 17, 2016, at the Hill Funeral Home, Kingston, with Rev. Greg Gardner officiating. Burial will follow in the Hallsville Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Hill’s.
