Clarence H. “Dick” Sommers, 95, of Orient, died June 12, 2016, in Monterey Care Center in Grove City.
He was born April 20, 1921, in Borneville.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Mt. Sterling; lifetime farmer and cattleman; Ayrshire Breeders Association; Odd Fellows; Mt. Sterling Rotary; National Rifleman Association; and Masonic Lodge #269 F & AM of Mt. Sterling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson Dwight Sommers and Laura Hill; and two sisters, Florence and Beatrice.
He is survived by brother, Bob Sommers of London; and sister, Martha (Ralph) Turley of Orient.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 15, 2016, in Pleasant Cemetery, Mt. Sterling, with Rev. Steve Rodgers officiating.
