CIRCLEVILLE – A local woman was injured Wednesday after reportedly swerving to miss an animal in the road on North Court Street.
Cathy Goodman, 60, was traveling southbound on North Court Street near Pleasant Street about 4 p.m. when the accident occurred, according to Sgt. Doug Anderson, Circleville Police Department.
Goodman reported she swerved to avoid striking an animal and instead went off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree. The impact flipped her 2012 Buick LaCrosse onto its side in the middle of the roadway.
Goodman was transported to Berger Hospital for treatment by the Circleville Fire Department, Anderson said.
The crash remains under investigation.
