DEERCREEK TOWNSHIP – A Clarksburg woman lost her life Thursday evening in a single-vehicle crash on state Route 138 near Williamsport.

Pamela S. Graham, 62, of Clarksburg, was pronounced dead at the scene by Dr. John Ellis, Pickaway County Coroner.

According to Lt. Steven Herron, Circleville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Graham was traveling westbound on Route 138 in a 2008 Jeep Cherokee about 5:25 p.m. when the crash occurred.

The vehicle crossed the center line and struck a wooden fence and then a utility pole before continuing over a steep embankment. Once it struck the embankment, the vehicle spun completely around and landed on its tires on the opposite side.

Crews from the Southwest Pickaway Fire District and Williamsport and Deercreek Emergency Squad (WADES) handled the emergency response at the scene.

Herron said the roadway would be closed for at least two hours while crews from South Central Power replaced the utility lines and restored power in the area.

The crash remains under investigation.
