The following cases recently were heard by Judge P. Randall Knece in Pickaway County Common Pleas Court:

– Aaron S. Adams, 25, of Wheelersburg, pleaded not guilty to possession of heroin and trafficking in heroin. A pretrial hearing is set for June 17.

– Rusty L. Brown, 36, of Columbus, pleaded guilty to non-support of dependents. He was sentenced to nine months in state prison (suspended) and three years of community control.

– Patrick T. Bryant III, 28, of McArthur, pleaded not guilty to aggravated possession of drugs and illegal conveyance of drugs onto the grounds of a detention facility. A pretrial hearing is set for June 17.

– Jason M. Burgess, 44, of Portsmouth, pleaded not guilty to possession of heroin and trafficking in heroin. A pretrial hearing is set for June 17.

– Russell M. Burris Jr., 18, of Villa Drive, Circleville, pleaded guilty to burglary. He was sentenced to two years in state prison and $1,000 in restitution.

– Paul C. Caudy Sr., 50, of Iroquois Way, Orient, pleaded guilty to operating a motor vehicle under the influence. He was sentenced to three years and 120 days in prison and a lifetime driver’s license suspension.

– Steven E. Clifton, 42, of Commercial Point Road, Circleville, entered an Alford Plea of guilty to receiving stolen property. He will be sentenced following a pre-sentence investigation by the court.

– John R. Conkel, 28, of East Franklin Street, Circleville, pleaded guilty to theft from the elderly. He was sentenced to eight months in state prison and $2,217.50 in restitution.

– Winifred B. Davis, 47, of Miller Avenue, Ashville, pleaded guilty to theft. She was sentenced to three years of intervention and $1,289.76 in restitution.

– Taylor C. Dennis, 25, of Clifton Road, Mt. Sterling, pleaded guilty to burglary and theft. Dennis was sentenced to 36 months in state prison and $350 in restitution.

– Alyssa M. Gloyd, 27, of Carroll, pleaded guilty to grand theft. She was sentenced to three years of intervention.

– Eldon J. Long, 38, of Washington Court House, pleaded guilty to non-support of dependents. He was sentenced to 18 months in state prison (suspended) and three years of community control.

– Justin J. Melvin, 30, of Lancaster, pleaded not guilty to burglary and theft. A pretrial hearing is set for June 17.

– Randall K. Morgan, 25, an inmate at the Pickaway County Jail, pleaded not guilty to possession of heroin. A pretrial hearing is set for June 17.

– Darrell L. Poare, 26, of Chillicothe, pleaded guilty to a violation of terms of intervention. He was sentenced to 10 months in state prison and a six-month driver’s license suspension.

– Justin J. Santos, 23, of London Road, Orient, was found competent to stand trial on two counts of felonious assault. A jury trial was set for June 9.

– Rickey A. Sowers Jr., 31, of Beaver, pleaded guilty to a violation of community control. He was sentenced to 60 days in the county jail and a continuation of community control.

– Jonathan L. Walter Jr., 37, of Chillicothe, pleaded guilty to robbery. He was sentenced to 10 years in state prison and $250 in restitution.

– Joshua K. Williams, 20, of Stihl Avenue, Circleville, pleaded guilty to forgery and theft. He will be sentenced following a pre-sentence investigation by the court.
