Charles M. Rupe, 67, of Tarlton, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2016, at his residence.

He was born in Columbus on April 17, 1949, the son of the late Donald and Mary (Bruce) Rupe.

He was a truck driver and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a member of Living by Faith Church in Grove City.

Charles is survived by his wife of 28 years, Darlene (Maier) Rupe; children, Christopher (Chasidy) Rupe, Mindy (Derek Bauer) Maier, Alen (Keisha) Rupe, Johnathan Rupe, Charles Anthony Rupe, Charles (Brenda) Rupe Jr., Trena (James) Hamilton Sr., Faye (Michael) Bays II, Ray (Pepper Jeffers) Rupe and Brock (Athena) Yates; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Lou Coburn; mother-in-law, Beverly Maier; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna Jean Brown.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016, with Pastors Kevin Ross and Virgil Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Green Summit Cemetery, where he will be honored as a veteran by AMVETS Post #2256. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family would like contributions made to the Taylor Funeral Home, P.O. Box 176, Amanda, Ohio 43102 in Charles’ memory.
