Clyde Manning Sr., age 74, of Mt. Sterling, peacefully passed away on Friday, May 6, 2016.
He was born June 11, 1941, in Maysville, Kentucky.
He was a member of Carpenters Union Local #200 for 54 years.
He was preceded in death by parents, Emmitt Dexter and Anna Zola Manning; wife of 47 years, Etta Faye Manning; brothers, George, Bill, Emmitt and Dicky Manning; sisters, Molly Manning and Jewels Manning.
He is survived by his loving family: son, Clyde (Cathy) Manning Jr. of Mt. Sterling; daughter, Zola Renee Lamp of Grove City; sisters, Barbara Smith of Ashville and Rena (Tim) Kelly of Orient; brother, Val (Carol) Manning of Orient; grandchildren, Michele Manning, Misty (Matt) Cushwa, Heather (Chuck) Layne, Kara Lamp, Clyde Manning III and James Lamp; great-grandchildren, Ellie Wolfe, Drake Lamp, Luke Lamp and Levi Lamp; many nieces, nephews, loved ones and friends.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016, at the Porter-Tidd Funeral Home, Mt. Sterling. The interment will follow in Pleasant Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening.
