Emma V. Brobst, 89, of Lancaster, formerly of Circleville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 26, 2016, at Berger Hospital.

She was born April 4, 1927, in Pickaway County, the daughter of Milford and Grace Viola (Imler) Lowry Sr.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul D. Brobst; her parents; sisters, Mildred McNichols, Betty Winter, Rosalie Bates and Annabelle Lowry; brothers, Paul L. Lowry and Milford Lowry Jr.; and great-grandson, Nicholas Stevens.

Emma is survived by her loving family: daughters, Betty (Lonnie) Conkle Sr., Trudy (Michael) Voshell and Penny (Parker) Davis; step-children, Nancy Nance, Marsha Adkins and John (Jeannette) Brobst; grandchildren, Lonnie (Misty) Conkle Jr., Lisa (Brian) Diaz, Jonathan (Amanda) Stevens and Traci Stevens; step-grandchildren, Jamie (Jason) Herr, Patrick (Erin) Nance, Katie and Jason Brobst; several great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Martha Lowry.

Emma was a devout, Christian woman who loved her family. She enjoyed being with people, taking rides, going out to eat and watching Dancing with the Stars. She was a member of Eastern Star, Kingston Chapter #411.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2016, at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Hitler-Ludwig Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where an Eastern Star service will be held at 5 p.m.
