Pamela Sue (Blevins) Murphy, 61, of South Bloomfield, passed away Saturday, April 23, 2016, at home surrounded by her family.
She was loved by many and exemplified how to live with faith, strength and generosity.
She was born on Feb. 10, 1955, in Portsmouth, to the late James Everett and Julia Mae (Russell) Blevins.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Mae; grandson, Austin; brother, Virgil; and sisters, Mary and Wanda.
She is survived by husband, Robert B. Murphy; children, Kimberly Sue Murphy of Ocala, Florida, Robert B. III (Kimberly) Murphy of Ashville, Vanessa (Scott) Richards of South Bloomfield and Miranda (Jeff) Woodward of Circleville; grandchildren, Ronnie, Santanna, Zachary, Jaden, Chris, Ace, Christian, Caleb, Mariah and Bryant; great-grandchildren, Madison, Hailey, William, R.J. and J.C.; sisters, Claris (Gene) Blackburn, Marie (Milton) Russell and Geraldine Blevins; brothers, Leroy (Sharon) Blevins, Paul Blevins, David (Jean) Blevins and Larry (Betty) Blevins; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, April 27, 2016, at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St., Ashville, with a service at 1 p.m., Pastor Herman Crocher officiating. Interment will follow in Harrison Township Cemetery, South Bloomfield.
The family request in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the funeral home for expenses.
