Matthew W. Fogt, 51, of Frankfort, died on Saturday morning, April 23, 2016, at his home.

He was born on May 21, 1964, in Sidney, the son of Marion F. and Grace Boyd Fogt.

Surviving are his mother, Grace Fogt of Frankfort; fiancée, Leah Rutan-Beane; sister, Julie (Robert) Speakman of Clarksburg; brother, Paul (Missy) Fogt of Crawfordville, Florida; niece, Chelsea (Ryan) Herbert of Circleville; and two precious grand-nieces, Hazel and Violet.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marion F. Fogt.

Matt was a 1983 graduate from Adena High School. He had served six years in the United States Coast Guard. He was a member of the Joseph Ellsworth White Post 483 Frankfort American Legion, where he was a past Commander. He was a charter member of the Frankfort Baptist Church and had been a member of the Frankfort Village Council for seven years. Matt was also the owner of RemProS Dental Lab.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, 2016, in the Ebright Funeral Home, Frankfort, with Pastor Paul Winks and Rev. Bill Wellman officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort, where military honors will be accorded by the Joseph Ellsworth White Post 483 Frankfort American Legion. Friends may visit with Matts’s family from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
