Richard Eugene “Scott” Speakman, 79, of Williamsport, passed away on April 7, 2016.
He was born on Oct. 6, 1936, in Williamsport, to Luther and Ruth (Smith) Speakman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Scott (Etta) Smith; and by several aunts and uncles.
Richard, an Army veteran, retired from E.I. DuPont and was a former member of G.O.C.C. Car Club.
Mr. Speakman is survived by his wife, Nancy (Myers) Speakman; sons, Richard (Peggy) and Scott Speakman; grandchildren, Brittany, Kayla, Brandon, Shelby and Breanna; great-grandchild, Remington; brother, Dale (Kay) Finch; and by several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 12, 2016, at the Wellman Funeral Home with burial to follow in Springlawn Cemetery. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
