Jean E. Turvy, age 99, of London, died Monday evening, March 28, 2016, at her residence.
She was born Feb. 6, 1917, in Madison County. She was the daughter of the late Laren and Marguerite (Toops) Gossard.
Jean was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in London; Sunday School teacher of numerous years; a dietary aide for Madison County Hospital; London Chapter #386 O.E.S.; Ladies Oriental Shrine of North America; Past Masters Ladies; and a volunteer of Madison Health Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by husband, Harry K. Turvy Jr.; and son, Ned G. Turvy.
She is survived by her loving son, William Turvy of London; and brother, Jim Gossard of Mt. Sterling.
A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, April 1, 2016, at the First Presbyterian Church in London, Rev. Gordon Johnson officiating, with the interment following in Kirkwood Cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to First Presbyterian Church, 211 Garfield Ave., London, OH 43140; or Loving Care Hospice.
