CIRCLEVILLE – Adena leaders, patients and members of the community took part in a celebration and ribbon cutting on Wednesday to officially launch the opening of the new, expanded Adena Health Center-Circleville. The new facility is located at 140 Morris Rd., Circleville, and offers nearly two times the space of the Center’s previous location.
The expansion into the 9,000 square-foot clinic is enabling Adena to increase its already robust specialty services. It will also allow Adena to recruit a fourth Primary Care Provider (PCP) to the Center.
“The community has wrapped its arms around us,” said Brooke Burns, Adena’s regional director of operations. “We are able to grow because the community is growing us, and we are recruiting for a fourth primary care provider because the town needs it.”
Dr. Robert Violette is the lead physician at Adena’s Circleville Health Center. He said, “Our goal, as it has been since we opened here five years ago, is to provide the people of Pickaway County with convenient access to care. Our hope is the people of Circleville will not have to go outside the region to get good, quality care and specialty services.”
In addition to primary care, the facility offers specialty services, including: Lab, x-ray, oncology (cancer), cardiology (heart) and orthopedics. The additional space in the Morris Road clinic has increased the number of exam rooms from 10 to 18 and is allowing for a dedicated area for orthopedics, which includes on-site x-ray and soon the addition of a mobile MRI unit.
“The fact that Adena is so committed to this community is genuine,” said Brad Lutz, chair, Pickaway Chamber of Commerce. “Being close to Columbus sometimes makes it difficult for people here to get services, especially the types of services you are providing locally. It’s easy to say, ‘They’ll drive to Columbus for that.’ The truth is, they won’t. They will stay here and people will not get the care that they need. Thank you for being a part of our community.”
