Charles A. Weimer, age 89, died Feb. 4, 2016, at Columbus West Park.
Charles was born in Mt. Sterling on Sept. 28, 1926, to the late William E. and Dorothy (Casto) Weimer.
He was preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers.
He served his country in the Army during World War II with his time being served in Japan. He retired from Allen Milk Company after 30 years of faithful service.
Charles is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Elma Jean (Hamner) Weimer; children, Hilda (Clarence) Sutton of Mt. Sterling, Eddie (Linda) Weimer of Derby, Ruth (Allen) Daniels of London and John Weimer of Orient; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 7, 2016, at the Schoediner Grove City Chapel, 3920 Broadway, where funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2016, with Pastor Perry Fausnaugh officiating. Interment will be at Pleasant Cemetery.
