Ricka A. Cooper, age 95, of Hillsboro, died Monday, Feb. 1, 2016, at the Laurels of Hillsboro.
She was born Aug. 27, 1920, in Necedah, Wisconsin, the daughter of the late Henry and Rosa Yingling Ganther.
Ricka is survived by seven children, Jack (Bonnie) Cooper of Hillsboro, Ronald (Susan) Cooper of Hillsboro, William Cooper of Milford, Marion “Bud” (Brenda) Cooper of Genoa, Robert Cooper of Hillsboro, Patricia (Gary) Speelman of Kingston, and Barbara (Chris) Gardner of Alabama; 16 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one brother, James Ganther of Illinois; and one sister, Bertha Mitchell of Missouri.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Marion Morris Cooper; two brothers, Otto and Theodore Ganther; and one great-grandson, Brayden Schamehorn.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, at Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Leo Kuhn will officiate. Burial will follow in Resthaven Memory Gardens. Friends may call from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday at the Turner & Son Funeral Home.
