Arthur Austin Greene, 80, of Chillicothe, passed peacefully at 11:43 a.m. Jan. 21, 2016, at Adena Regional Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 17, 1936, in Sabina. Art is the son of the late Austin Greene and Mary (McFadden) Greene.
He is survived by his faithful wife, Jerry Lucille (Park) Greene of Chillicothe; and his sons, Ronald (Cindy) Greene of Washington Court House and Arthur Greene Jr. of Circleville; several grandchildren; a great-grandchild; brother, Richard (Joyce) Greene of Circleville; sister, Dora Mae Reichelderfer of Calimesa, California; and step-daughters, Cathy Imboden and Melissa (John) Dearth of Chillicothe.
Arthur was predeceased by his mother and father; brother, David Greene; and son, Gregory Greene.
Arthur proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a decorated soldier during the Korean and Cold War Conflicts.
Arthur was a retired farmer and an employee of 31 years of the DuPont Corporation in Pickaway County. Arthur attended Springbank Church in Yellowbud.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2016, at the Wellman Funeral Home, Circleville, with Father Dave Getreu officiating. Graveside will be at 1 p.m. at the Centerville Cemetery in Clinton County. Friends may call from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
