Anita Adel Hammond, 58, of Circleville, passed away on Jan. 21, 2016.

She was born on March 14, 1957, in Flatwoods, Kentucky, to Roger and Beatrice (Stevens) Thompson.

She had worked at G.E., was a member of VFW, AMVETS and Eagles and was a former member of the Moose Lodge.

Anita was preceded in death by her father, Roger Thompson; her mother, Beatrice Stevens Orin; sister, Connie Adams; brothers, BJ, Gary and Ronnie Thompson; and by her dog, Fred.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Hammond; his children, Tammy (Ed) Bennett and Tara (Travis) Sims; grandchildren, Jeffrey, Emily, Lauren, Leah, Josh, Abbi, Morgan, Megan, Maggie and Addison; sister, Linda (John) Payne; nieces and nephews, Sheila (Mike) Campbell, Gail (Jon) Noble, Greg Thompson and John (Brenda) Thompson; several great-nieces and nephews; one great-great-niece; special “seesters,” Mac, Creta, Susie and Diane; and by her dog, Bailey.

Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016, at the Wellman Funeral Home with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A graveside service will be held at noon on Monday, Jan. 25, 2016, at Forest Cemetery.
