Fern Locklear Gold, 83, of Circleville, formerly of Columbus, passed away Sunday, Jan. 17, 2016, at Logan Elm Health Care, Circleville.
She was born Jan. 3, 1933, in Blaine, Kentucky, the daughter of Ernest and Hazel (Boggs) Whitt.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sons, Michael and David Locklear; her sister, Loretta Edminster; and brother, Ray Whitt.
She is survived by her daughters, Sherree (Gary) Davenport and Kristy (Vernon) Bailey; son, Mitchell Locklear; grandchildren, Blaine (Jacki) Jenkins, Rachel Locklear, Star Bailey and Allyson Bailey; several great-grandchildren; sisters, Lois Humphrey and Kay Ferguson; and brothers, Jerry (Sharon) Whitt and Dwight (Vicki) Whitt.
Fern was a sweetheart of a lady who was a “grandmother” to a lot of children. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Per Fern’s wishes, no visitation or service will be held.
