TVEF grant aids cyber-safety program

Teays Valley West Middle School guidance counselor Joyce Duchak recently received a grant from the Teays Valley Educational Foundation for $500 to bring a cyber-safety presentation and mini workshop to West.

“We are very grateful to the Teays Valley Educational Foundation for funding this mini grant,” Duchak said. “It will enable Officer Don Stanko and his team at the Digital Innocence Recovery Group to deliver a program to our students about cyber-safety and social media dangers. They will also facilitate lunch seminars for our teachers covering skills to stay safe online in the digital world, including cyber-bullying prevention and intervention.”
