March 13

– A resident in the 300 block of Walnut Street reported a dog had been barking for about three hours. The owner was advised.

– A resident in the 200 block of Town Street reported the strong odor of natural gas in the kitchen. The fire department arrived and noted issues with the water heater. The resident advised they would contact their landlord.

– An officer traveled to Stoutsville to take custody of Wanda L. Hill from the Lancaster Police Department on a warrant from the Circleville Police Department.

– A Laurelville resident came to the police station to report money and checks were stolen from his vehicle in the 100 block of East Franklin Street.

– An employee at PICCA requested an officer regarding trespassers occupying a residence at Ohio Heights. A no-trespass letter was issued to a female subject, who was given until the next morning to vacate the property. A male subject left out the back door of the apartment before management made contact.

– A resident in the 300 block of Walnut Street Pike reported someone had used her Amazon account and was using her deceased husband’s identity. A report was taken on theft.

– A landlord in the 500 block of East Union Street reported they were cleaning at the location and the former tenant arrived and was causing problems. The parties were advised on the civil issue.

– An Ashville resident reported her child’s father had taken belongings out of her residence and would not return them. She was advised on the civil issue.

– An officer traveled to the Franklin County Jail on Jackson Pike to take custody of Randy Vangundy on a warrant from the Circleville Police Department.

– A caller in the 900 block of South Pickaway Street reported seeing a small red vehicle drop off a male in the alley near Edison. The male then jumped the fence of a residence and ran through the yard. He was last seen running in the alley off of Walnut Street and the vehicle headed northbound on South Pickaway. Officers were unable to locate.

– A resident came to the police station to report her son was assaulted at Everts Middle School earlier in the day. A report was taken on assault.

– An employee at Taco Bell on U.S. Route 23 reported a male customer had been standing at the cashiers’ counter for more than an hour without requesting any services and failed to leave when requested by store management. When he was told they were calling the police, he advised he would wait for them to arrive. The officer advised it was a civil issue over the bill.

– An employee from Cheap Tobacco on North Court Street reported a theft from the business.

– A resident in the 1200 block of Turner Drive reported several subjects had discharged firearms in the 1200 block of Norfolk Avenue. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle or subjects.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident at North Court Street and Morris Road.

– A caller requested officers attempt to locate a vehicle involved in a road rage incident at Ohio Christian University. Officers were unable to locate.

– Officers performed a well-being check in the 100 block of Parklawn Drive. The subject checked OK.

– A 911 caller reported possible shots fired or a blown transformer in the 600 block of Elm Avenue. Officers were unable to locate.

– A resident in the 100 block of Hayward Avenue reported an unknown male was sitting on her porch, and when she turned on the lights, he left on foot headed for the railroad tracks. Officers were unable to locate.

– A resident in the 400 block of East Ohio Street reported a possibly known subject had damaged his vehicle windshield. A report was taken on criminal damage.

– A resident in the 400 block of East Franklin Street reported his neighbor was being loud and woke his baby up three times by driving by and honking the horn. Officer was unable to locate.

– Allen West Jr. was arrested by the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant and transported to the Pickaway County Jail. Officers served West at the jail with a copy of his local warrant.

March 14

– A resident in the 200 block of Watt Street reported her neighbors were playing very loud music. When the officer arrived, both loud music and yelling could be heard from the street. The parties were advised to keep the music down.

– A resident in the 200 block of West Mill Street reported an intoxicated female walked in the front door of her home looking for a male subject. Officers were unable to locate the female.

– Billie Jo Thompson was arrested for OVI following a traffic stop in the 100 block of South Western Avenue.

– A 911 caller reported a female with an umbrella was standing on the north side of Walnut Creek Pike near Dunkle Road and appeared to be disoriented. The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office was advised and handled the scene.

– Officers performed a well-being check in the 500 block of East Franklin Street. The subject checked OK.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at Pickaway-Ross on East Mound Street. The scene checked OK.

– A 911 caller reported an active domestic dispute between a male and his girlfriend in the 400 block of Watt Street. Officers checked the address, but there was no answer at the door. Unable to locate.

– A caller reported he dropped his granddaughter off at Everts Middle School, and when he passed a black vehicle parked along the road on Chatham Road, the occupant opened the door of the vehicle and struck the caller’s vehicle. The other driver then left the scene. A report was taken on a property damage hit-skip.

– A resident came to the police station to report she had been involved in a property damage hit-skip in the 1200 block of Norfolk Avenue. A report was taken.

– A caller in the 300 block of Logan Street reported a male riding a dirt bike in the area that did not appear to be legal and was creating excessive noise. Officers were unable to locate.

– A resident in the 200 block of Logan Street reported a known male came to her door and started an argument. Both parties were advised to stay away from each other.

– A resident in the 300 block of East Mound Street reported a suspicious male pacing back and forth, using the pay phone and pulling money in and out of his pocket near the residence. Officers were unable to locate.

– Jamie Pennington, 38, of South Bloomfield, and Amanda Lynd, 27, of Circleville, were arrested for possession of drugs following a traffic stop in the 100 block of Logan Street.

– A caller reported several subjects in the parking lot at Pickaway-Ross on East Mound Street were hanging out next to the dumpster and may have been trying to start a fire. Officers made contact with the subjects, who checked OK.

– A resident in the 200 block of West Water Street reported juveniles playing basketball in the middle of the intersection at North Scioto and West Water streets and making excessive noise. The juveniles were leaving as officers arrived.

– A 911 caller reported an active fight at Gio’s on South Court Street. Officers advised the subjects checked OK.

March 15

– Officers responded to reports of a disturbance at the Main Street Pub. Two males were intoxicated and made arrangements to get home safely. The scene checked OK.

– A caller reported a loose dog causing a traffic hazard in the area of South Court and Mill streets. The officer got the dog into the back of his cruiser until the dog warden arrived and took possession.

– A resident in the 100 block of Town Street reported seeing two younger males in a vehicle in the area of South Pickaway and Logan streets, and when they left the area, she heard what sounded like 10 gunshots. Officers advised the noise was from fireworks being set off in the area.

– A resident in the 100 block of Fairview Blvd. reported some landscaping pavers were stolen from his back yard. Extra patrol was requested for suspicious and possible drug activity in the alley.

– A caller reported a relative had changed the locks on her residence in the 300 block of Weldon Avenue and thrown all of her belongings outside. The officer advised it was a civil issue, and the caller will get a key to gain access to retrieve her property.

– A resident in the 200 block of Westwood Drive reported problems due to unruly grandchildren.

– A home caregiver reported a known male subject threatening her patient in the 400 block of Lancaster Pike. A report was taken on telecommunications harassment.

– Several anonymous callers reported a black van in the 400 block of North Court Street driving through the park at excessive speeds and making turns on two tires. The vehicle was located, but the officer did not observe any violations. The driver was advised of his behavior.

– Officers responded to an injury accident involving three vehicles in the area of Stoutsville Pike and Lancaster Pike.

– A resident in the 1400 block of North Court Street reported several shots were fired by several types of firearms by unknown subjects by the railroad tracks behind his location. The caller advised shooters have been coming and going throughout the day and were rapid-firing. Officers were unable to locate anyone in the area.

– A caller reported broken glass in the roadway in the 500 block of Kingston Pike. The service department and fire department responded to clean up the scene.

– Officers responded to a property damage accident in the 300 block of the north/south alley between East Main and East Franklin streets.

– A resident in the 300 block of Kingston Pike reported someone had driven through her yard, causing damage.

– A caller reported two Ford Mustangs were racing from street light to street light northbound on South Court Street from the city limits. Officers were unable to locate.

– A 911 caller reported an unresponsive female lying on the ground on the 300 block of Clark Drive. Officers located the female at the intersection of Clark Drive and Nicholas Drive, and she was transported to Berger Hospital.

– A caller reported a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of Harrison Street. The occupants advised they had pulled over to write a text message and were waiting for a friend. Checked OK.

– A caller in the 200 block of Walnut Street reported his girlfriend said she was going to make a false report about him to police. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

March 16

– A caller reported hearing two loud noises that sounded like small caliber gun fire from the entrance to the trailer park at Elsea’s on North Court Street. Officers were unable to locate anything in the area.

– A resident in the 400 block of North Scioto Street reported a dog barking outside his home. Officers made contact with the dog owner, who took control of the canine.

– A resident in the 400 block of South Pickaway Street reported something tapping on her window, but she was unsure what was causing it. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate anything unusual. The scene checked OK.

– A resident in the 300 block of Logan Street reported a relative head-butted him and spit in his face. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– An officer reported a loose dog running in the 300 block of Town Street. The dog warden was notified and took possession of the canine.

– Extra patrol was requested in the 900 block of South Scioto Street due to a neighbor dispute.

– An employee of Griffith’s Carpet on East Mound Street reported someone had completely filled up the dumpster at the property. A report was taken on theft of services.

– A resident in the 100 block of East High Street reported a suspicious female walking through the area of East High and North Pickaway streets meeting with different vehicles. Officers were unable to locate.

– A resident in the 300 block of Watt Street reported neighbors burning trash. The officer advised they were burning bushes and were putting out the fire.

– A caller in the 1200 block of South Court Street reported watching a female in the apartment complex at Caroline Court slap a very small child in the back of the head. Officer advised children at two different addresses checked OK, but then he was flagged down by a witness. A report was taken.

– A resident in the 100 block of Caroline Court reported a raccoon was stuck in a drain. The officer advised the animal checked OK and was able to get out.

– An officer reported he happened upon an accident in the intersection at East Mound and South Pickaway Street. No report was taken by request. The drivers exchanged information.

– A resident in the 400 block of North Scioto Street reported her home was broken into, and she wanted to discuss some things on Facebook. The officer advised there was no burglary, and the call was reference a civil domestic issue three weeks before. The caller was advised.

– A resident in the 400 block of Watt Street reported someone stole a bag of tools from his vehicle. A report was taken on theft.

– A caller in the 300 block of Kingston Pike reported a semi truck had driven through his yard, taking out a post and leaving ruts in the grass. A report was taken on a property damage hit-skip.

– An employee at the Holiday Inn Express reported a customer was stuck in the elevator. The fire department arrived on the scene and was able to get the door open.

– A resident in the 300 block of Logan Street reported a known subject had someone pinned down in a fight on the street. A report was taken on disorderly conduct by fighting.

– Officers responded to an activated alarm at North Court Family Dental. The scene checked OK.

– A 911 caller reported she was sitting in her vehicle near the basketball courts at Ted Lewis Park when three females came up and attempted to drag her out of the vehicle by her hair. She also advised they were still trying to jump her friend, and as she was pulling away they were kicking her vehicle. A report was taken on assault.

– A resident in the 800 block of Kingston Court reported a male and a female were fighting, and the male pushed the female while she had a child in her arms. The officer determined no assault had occurred, and the male was leaving the residence. A report was taken on a domestic dispute.

– Glenn T. Westernberger Jr. was arrested for disorderly conduct by persisting after a 911 caller reported a fight between two males in the area of Huston Street and South Scioto Street.

– A caller reported a male subject was driving in the area of Logan and Washington streets with children in the car while he was under the influence of drugs. Officers were unable to locate the vehicle.

– A resident in the 300 block of Watt Street reported her grandson was unwelcome at her residence. The male was advised not to return to the property.

– Jamie Neff of Lancaster was arrested for possession of drugs following a traffic stop in the area of East Mound and South Washington streets.

– The Pickaway County Sheriff’s Office requested officers be on the lookout for a subject reportedly involved in a domestic assault on Old Tarlton Pike. Officers located the subject in the 400 block of East Mound Street. Deputies arrived to handle the scene.

– A resident in the 400 block of South Pickaway Street requested extra patrol due to someone tapping on the windows of her house the night before.

– A caller from Norfolk Southern Police Department reported five or six small children had been climbing on the railroad grain cars at South Scioto and Ohio streets and playing on the main line for the railroad tracks. Officers were unable to locate the juveniles.

– A resident in the 200 block of West Main Street reported someone broke into his residence through a bathroom window. The officer reported no burglary occurred, and a report was taken on criminal damage.

– A caller reported being harassed by several people in the 300 block of Logan Street. Officers made contact with the caller and the other parties, and a report was taken on disorderly conduct.
