David A. Hodge, age 84, of Washington Court House, died Dec. 8, 2015, at his residence.
He was born Oct. 23, 1931, in Scioto County. He was the son of the late Albert Redman Hodge and Henrietta Alice (Nease) Hodge.
Also preceding in death was his wife, Elsie Marie Hodge; daughter, Alice; and brothers, Willis, Wimpy and Richard.
He is survived by children, Art Hodge, Robert (Connie) Hodge, Sandy (Mike) Rowe, Jen (Jim) Mathews, Violet Rose (Phil) Daniels and Pearl David (Stacy) Hodge; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brothers, James, Allen and Howard; and sisters, Wanda, Wilma, Alice, Barb and Kathy.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 12, 2015, at the Porter-Tidd Funeral Home, Mt. Sterling, Rev. Michael Chaffin officiating, with the interment following in Madison Mills Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening, Dec. 11, 2015.
