Dixie L. (Zwayer) Cummins, 85, of Ashville, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2015, at her home.
She was born on Jan. 30, 1930, in Pickerington, to the late Leo and Eveline (Wood) Zwayer.
She was a member of First English Lutheran Church and a graduate of Ashville-Harrison High School in 1947. Dixie had worked for Grange Insurance, the former IMC Fertilizer Plant in Circleville as an office manager for a number of years , and farmed with her husband, Ralph “Toppy” Cummins, who preceded her on May 9, 2005.
She is also preceded by sister, Billie Campbell; and brother, Kent Zwayer.
She is survived by daughters, Shawna (Joe) Kroll of Lake Worth, Florida, and Gayle Cummins (Len Gibason) of Ashville; sisters, Sharon Martin of Etna and Jill Roese of South Bloomfield; sister-in-law, Barbara Cummins of Ashville; very special friend, Sally Stevens of Circleville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, 2015, at the Oliver-Cheek Funeral Home, 420 W. Main St., Ashville. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at First English Lutheran Church, 94 Long St., Ashville, with Pastor Joe Wolf officiating. Burial will follow in Harrison Township Cemetery, South Bloomfield.
