PICKAWAY – Pickaway Pilot is reporting that they are now filling up with diesel after over four days of being on empty.

A store sign posted over the weekend on the business door said, “out of diesel till further notice.”

The store has been out of diesel along with three other Pilots since Wednesday, November 3, 2021, Sunbury, Columbus, and Hebron.

We are working to manage demand across our stores and as a result, select locations may be temporarily down on diesel until the supply situation improves,” wrote David Hughes, senior vice president of sales Pilot-Flying J  . “Our team is bringing in support from surrounding markets to maintain supply at the majority of our locations to keep your fleets fueled.”

According to AAA spokesperson in a statement to national media, “”We are not looking at a shortage of gasoline, in fact, we have ample supply in the United States to get through the summer and the rest of the year. What the concern is right now is a shortage of fuel truck drivers.”
