COLUMBUS, OH — Pickaway County will take center stage at Ohio Tourism Day on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, joining dozens of other destinations from across the state in a celebration of Ohio’s vibrant tourism industry. The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on the West Plaza of the Ohio Statehouse, offering visitors a chance to discover travel opportunities, gather information, and interact with tourism representatives from every corner of the Buckeye State.

As part of the celebration, Pickaway County Visitors Bureau and its partners—including the Circleville Pumpkin Show, Inspiration Station, and the Pickaway County Agricultural and Event Center—will be on hand to share free materials, promote regional attractions, and inspire travel to the heart of central Ohio.

Ohio Tourism Day is an opportunity to share the experiences that make Pickaway County such a welcoming place to visit,” said Elizabeth Furniss, Executive Director of the Pickaway County Visitors Bureau. “From outdoor adventures to summer festivals and small-town charm, we’re excited to showcase the many reasons visitors should explore our corner of Ohio.”

The event will also feature live entertainment, interactive exhibits, and demonstrations from Ohio tourism partners, giving attendees a lively and informative way to plan their next in-state getaway.

Tourism plays a major role in Pickaway County’s economy. In recent reports, the county saw over $209 million in visitor spending, marking a 10% growth in tourism activity. That impact supports approximately 1,600 local jobs and contributes significantly to both local and state tax revenues.

We’re proud to be part of this important statewide celebration,” said Circleville Mayor Michelle Blanton. “Tourism drives growth in our communities, supports our small businesses, and highlights what makes Pickaway County and Ohio as a whole a special place to live and visit.”

Ohio Tourism Day highlights both the economic power of the industry and the community pride that fuels it. For more information about Pickaway County attractions and events, visit www.pickaway.com.
