The Pickaway County Republican Party has ushered in a new era of leadership, poised to uphold conservative principles and drive progress across local communities.

Travis Ricketts, a seasoned political operative with over a decade of experience in statehouse Republican circles, assumes the mantle of party chair. Hailing from Circleville, Ricketts brings a wealth of knowledge in political strategy and governance, gleaned from his tenure in various government agencies and campaigns.

Returning for her fifth consecutive term as vice chair is Sandy Darby, a stalwart figure from Scioto Township. Darby’s background as a retired fiscal officer with the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) bolsters the party’s financial support for conservative candidates in Pickaway County.

Meanwhile, Ronde Cook Brushart retains her position as Treasurer for a third term, leveraging her financial acumen honed as the chief financial officer in the county Clerk of Courts office and as a former regional bank manager.

Matt Forquer, a native of Ashville, steps into the role of Secretary with over twenty years of experience in the commercial insurance sector. Forquer’s meticulous attention to detail and strong community ties position him as a key communicator of Republican values to voters.

Expressing gratitude for the groundwork laid by outgoing Chair Mike Whitten, Ricketts aims to build upon the solid foundation and gear up for upcoming campaigns.

“Chairman Whitten laid a solid foundation giving us many tools for success in coming campaigns,” remarked Ricketts. “We are grateful for his leadership and years of service. November is fast approaching, and our party must organize to secure victories at all levels of government. With the help of our central committee, we aim to roll out various outreach programs in the weeks ahead to bolster our efforts.”
