Pickaway County Common Pleas Court Issues Sentences and Warrants in Multiple Criminal Cases

CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The Pickaway County Common Pleas Court took action on several criminal cases during proceedings held Wednesday, Dec. 23, 2025, under the direction of Judge Matthew H. Chafin, according to court records.

In one case, Brydan C. Gall, 20, of Orient, Ohio, was sentenced after being convicted of improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle, a fifth-degree felony, and operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs, a first-degree misdemeanor. Court records show Gall received a three-year prison sentence that was suspended. He was placed on community control for up to 12 months, ordered to plead guilty to a reduced charge, and received credit for time served. Additional conditions include alcohol treatment, random drug and alcohol testing, a curfew from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., maintaining employment, restricted travel, no association with minors, and completion of 50 hours of community service.

In a separate case, Buck Jesse, 44, of Orient, Ohio, is facing charges of operating a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or drugs with a specification and an additional count of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence, both third-degree felonies. Court records indicate a warrant has been issued in the case.

Another warrant was issued for Chad C. Mumaw, 49, of Circleville, Ohio, who is charged with theft, a fifth-degree felony, according to court documents.

Court officials did not release additional details regarding the underlying incidents in the warrant cases. All matters remain pending further court action.
