Pickaway County – 3rd Annual Fishing for Kids Event Promises Fun Day on the Water

Commercial Point, Ohio – Families in Commercial Point and surrounding areas are gearing up for the 3rd Annual Fishing for Kids event, set to take place this weekend. Organized by the Commercial Point Community Men’s Club Foundation, this event promises a fun-filled day for children eager to cast their lines and reel in some big catches.

Scheduled for Saturday, April 28th, the event invites children to sign up for a day of fishing excitement. Each registered child will receive a Spincast or close-faced fishing pole, along with tackle bags loaded with all the necessary gear for a successful fishing experience. Additionally, participants will be treated to a delicious lunch after receiving instruction and heading out to the pond for some angling action.

What makes this event even more special is that it’s completely FREE for all participants, thanks to the generous support of the Commercial Point Men’s Club, volunteers, and various donors. Sponsors include renowned names in the fishing industry such as Arkie Lures, Nasty Nate’s Nasty Baits, Zebco, Blue Rock Custom Tackle, Jones Fish, Yum Lures, Eagle Claw, and Columbus Bait and Tackle. Local community groups like the WALKER POINTE Neighbor’s Group, Kraft Foods, the Ladies Auxiliary, and the Commercial Point Police and Fire departments have also lent their support to ensure the success of the event.

The Fishing for Kids event will last for four hours, providing ample time for children to enjoy the thrill of fishing and create lasting memories with their families. It’s a wonderful opportunity for kids to connect with nature, learn new skills, and have fun outdoors in a safe and supportive environment.
