CHILLICOTHE, OH — Ohio University Chillicothe is partnering with Goodwill Industries of South Central Ohio to host a community-wide donation drive aimed at supporting students, job seekers, and local residents.

The donation drive will take place Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Stevenson Center, located at 101 University Drive in Chillicothe.

Organizers say the effort is designed to help stock OHIO Chillicothe’s Student Resource Center with professional clothing, including business casual and business formal attire. These items will be used by students preparing for interviews, career fairs, and other employment-related events.

In addition to supporting students, donations to Goodwill help fund employment training and job placement services for individuals facing barriers to employment. Goodwill Industries of South Central Ohio also provides services to individuals with disabilities through its activity and training centers. Proceeds from donated items sold in Goodwill stores and online help sustain these programs while promoting sustainability by keeping usable items out of landfills.

Accepted donation items include gently used clothing and accessories, household goods, and electronics.

Community members interested in participating are encouraged to clean out their closets and donate items that can help others gain confidence, skills, and employment opportunities.
