CIRCLEVILLE, OH – The Circleville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol announced plans to hold an OVI (Operating a Vehicle Impaired) checkpoint this week, aimed at deterring and intercepting impaired drivers, with the statement released at 6:45 PM EDT on Monday, June 23, 2025. The initiative seeks to enhance road safety in the region.

Details of the checkpoint will be disclosed progressively: the county will be announced the day before the event, and the specific location will be revealed on the morning of the checkpoint. The patrol urges individuals planning to consume alcohol to arrange for a designated driver or alternative transportation, emphasizing, “Don’t let another life be lost for the senseless and selfish act of getting behind the wheel impaired.”

Local law enforcement and safety partners will provide operational support for the sobriety checkpoint, ensuring a coordinated effort to address impaired driving.
