COLUMBUS – According to a Facebook video by The Ohio State University, The Ohio State Buckeyes Marching Band has been selected to perform in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade in New York.

The announcement came a year ago (September 2017) from Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade program director Westley Whatley.  “We have loved you guys for years, we have watched you guys on Utube like the rest of America, and we want you to entertain our audience of 50 million people next Thanksgiving.”

“Its unbelievable that our band has not done this before, said Ohio State Band Director Chris. On behalf of Buckeye Nation, we graciously accept this honor.”
