Ohio Department of Transportation Reports Zero Traffic Deaths This Year and Wants to Keep it That Way

Cincinnati – A road sign in Cincinnati boasts Zero traffic deaths as of Noon on January 1st, 2019.  In 2017 Ohio State Highway Patrol posted that there were 1,179 traffic deaths in Ohio and 1,057 in 2018 that the average of 3 deaths a day in Ohio.

Ohio Department of Transportation said in its social media report “We like the way this sign looks. Make a resolution to be a better driver this year so we can keep it this way.”

The sign also said, “Happy New Year dont become the first statistic.”
