COLUMBUS, Ohio – Nationwide Children’s Hospital has been recognized on U.S. News & World Report’s Best Children’s Hospitals Honor Roll for the 11th consecutive year, solidifying its status as one of the top pediatric hospitals in the nation. This elite Honor Roll comprises only 10 children’s hospitals across the country, with Nationwide Children’s ranking among the top 10 in seven out of ten pediatric specialties.

In a notable change this year, U.S. News did not assign numerical rankings to the Honor Roll hospitals but continues to provide rankings for individual specialties. The hospital has been recognized as tied for the No. 1 pediatric hospital in both Ohio and the Midwest.

Tim Robinson, CEO of Nationwide Children’s Hospital, expressed pride in the team’s ongoing dedication to pediatric care. “Our commitment to caring for children, improving communities, and researching new treatments is making a difference in Ohio and beyond,” he stated.

Among the specialties ranked by U.S. News, the following are noteworthy:

  • Cancer: #9
  • Gastroenterology and GI Surgery: #4
  • Nephrology: #4
  • Neurology and Neurosurgery: #6
  • Pulmonology and Lung Surgery: #5

This year also saw the introduction of the Behavioral Health specialty, categorized in the “Top 50” without individual rankings.

The annual rankings, now in their 18th year, serve as a valuable resource for parents and caregivers seeking the best care for children facing serious health challenges.

Nationwide Children’s Hospital stands as one of the largest not-for-profit, free-standing pediatric health care systems in the U.S., focusing on integrated care, research, and education. With over 13,000 staff members, the hospital provides comprehensive wellness, preventive, and rehabilitative services, handling more than 1.6 million patient visits annually. It is also affiliated with The Ohio State University College of Medicine, training the next generation of pediatric professionals.
