Authorities and concerned community members are urgently seeking information regarding the disappearance of Whitney, who was last seen between 1:30 and 2:30 pm on March 7th, 2024.

Whitney’s path, as tracked by cadaver dogs, led from Old Westfall Road near the curve beside the cemetery to South Salem before the trail abruptly ended, suggesting she may have entered a vehicle.

Despite efforts to locate surveillance footage capturing her movements, no cameras have provided any leads. The limited window for footage retention, often just 24 hours, has hindered investigative efforts.

Adding to the complexity of the case, Whitney possesses a trac phone with no service, rendering traditional tracking methods impossible. Authorities lack access to the phone’s identifying information, including its IMEI number and purchase details.

Contact with Whitney’s friends has yielded little information, and her departure with either a male or female companion remains unknown. Similarly, details about the vehicle she may have entered, such as its make, model, or color, are unavailable.

Although an Amber Alert was not issued due to the belief that Whitney left willingly, law enforcement agencies, including the Ross County Sheriff’s Office, are actively involved in the search. Andrew, representing Search and Rescue 101, leads the collaborative effort and serves as the primary liaison with the sheriff’s office.

Efforts to garner media attention for Whitney’s case have faced challenges, with some outlets hesitant to cover runaway incidents. Despite this, law enforcement and search teams continue to exhaust all avenues to locate her.

Whitney’s belongings have been thoroughly searched, though she did not possess a computer or iPad. The only electronic device found was an iPod, which contained only music and limited communication capabilities.

The community’s support and vigilance are crucial in locating Whitney and ensuring her safe return home. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is urged to contact local authorities immediately.
