Chillicothe — You can help make hospitalized veterans happier by making valentines for them on February 3rd.

The annual “Valentines for Veterans” day at the Lucy Hayes Heritage Center in Chillicothe is where “kids of all ages” make many valentine cards for veterans at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center.

Lucy House volunteer Pam Bowen provides the materials, like cards, stickers, and crayons – so you don’t even need to bring anything but your artistic talent and appreciation. Children are encouraged, but adults are welcome too.

The Lucy House contributes hundreds of cards towards the national Valentines for Veterans effort, which are delivered to the Chillicothe VA where staff will distribute them.

The event is 10am to 3pm on February 3rd at the Lucy Hayes Heritage Center at 90 West Sixth Street in Chillicothe. Hear more from Pam Bowen in the below interview video.
