Lancaster OH- A Lancaster Firefighter/Medic was honored on Saturday. Lancaster Mayor David Scheffler took to social media in this Facebook Post announcing the special recognition.

Darrell Wallace, a 19-year Lancaster firefighter/medic and U.S. Navy veteran, was the honoree at this year’s Tribute To Our Heroes. Spectacular weather made this eighth annual celebration the place to be Saturday afternoon. Over $40,000 has been raised for the Wounded Warrior Project during the first seven years of this celebration. Congratulations to First-responder Wallace on this well-deserved recognition.

We snagged a quote from Cathy Jumper on the Mayors Facebook post thanking him for the support.
“Mayor David Scheffler, THANK YOU again for your support of our event. We raised $5,700 yesterday and still have some money coming in!! Great, great day!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
