Lancaster OH- According to a police report obtained by Scioto Post, the barricade situation all started over an alleged assault.

On 7-23-2020 at around 2:30P.M officers were dispatched to a West 6th Avenue apartment on reports of an assault. Once officers arrived on scene, they spoke with the victim that told them he had been assaulted by another male with a golf club. Officers then spoke to a witness who also gave them the same story.

When officers attempted to locate the suspect of the alleged assault, he had fled the area. After a short while, officers were contacted again by the victim and he told officers the suspect had returned and this time with a knife claiming he would kill him.
