
COLUMBUS, Ohio — Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Lt. Governor Jim Tressel, and Ohio Department of Development Director Lydia Mihalik announced today that five major projects across the state have been approved, collectively expected to create 218 new jobs, retain nearly 1,165 positions, and generate more than $2.1 billion in investments.
The Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed the projects during its monthly meeting, considering proposals brought forward by JobsOhio and regional partners. The initiatives are projected to add over $14 million in new annual payroll statewide.
FAIRFIELD COUNTY HIGHLIGHT
Vantage Data Centers Management Company, LLC, will establish a new facility in the village of Millersport, Fairfield County, creating 37 full-time-equivalent positions with an estimated $3.7 million in new annual payroll. Vantage specializes in powering, cooling, protecting, and connecting the technology infrastructure of hyperscalers, cloud providers, and large enterprises. The project represents a $2.1 billion fixed-asset investment, primarily for building costs. The TCA approved a 50 percent, 10-year Data Center Tax Exemption to support the project.
Other Approved Projects Across Ohio
- Central Ohio: Axium Packaging, LLC, in Jersey Township and New Albany (Licking County), will create 70 jobs and add more than $3.6 million in payroll. The project includes a new facility for tube manufacturing and specialized warehouse operations. TCA approved a 1.23 percent, eight-year Job Creation Tax Credit.
- Northeast Ohio: Becker Mining America, Inc., in Mount Vernon (Knox County), will create 40 positions and generate $2.4 million in new payroll. The company will acquire an existing facility to expand intellectual property and manufacturing operations. TCA approved a 1.169 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit.
- Southeast Ohio: The Ohio Bridge Corporation in Cambridge (Guernsey County) will add 41 jobs, with more than $2.3 million in annual payroll. The expansion includes a 70,000-square-foot building for advanced welding and the renovation of existing facilities. TCA approved a 1.163 percent, six-year Job Creation Tax Credit.
- Southwest Ohio: VILPE USA LLC in Mason (Warren County) will establish its North American headquarters, creating 30 jobs and generating $2.7 million in new payroll. The Finland-based company focuses on sustainable roofing, HVAC, and monitoring solutions. TCA approved a 1.428 percent, seven-year Job Creation Tax Credit.
Governor DeWine said the approved projects underscore Ohio’s growing role in advanced manufacturing, technology, and infrastructure, providing economic opportunities for communities statewide, including Fairfield County.
