FAIRFIELD – The Government Shut down has now gone longer than any shut down in history.  How is that affecting us here in Central Ohio?  Fairfield County Job and Family Services reported that, “Due to the federal government shutdown, Ohio will be issuing Febuary Food Assistance benefits to participants currently in receipt of SNAP on or before January 20.

Participants will NOT receive their benefits on their Febuary load date and should remember their benefits loaded in January will need to last through Febuary.  According to the post they do not have any information on March, but will keep everyone informed.
