Geiger Brothers, Inc. Invests Over $500,000 to Expand Operations in Jackson, Ohio

Jackson, Ohio – Geiger Brothers, Inc., in collaboration with JobsOhio, Ohio Southeast Economic Development (OhioSE), and the Jackson County Economic Development Partnership, has announced a significant investment of over $500,000 to expand its operations in Jackson, Ohio. This expansion is expected to create 20 new high-wage jobs in the region.

Established in 1909, Geiger Brothers, Inc. specializes in engineering and manufacturing services for niche industries such as nuclear, food, energy, and infrastructure. The company’s cutting-edge fabrication facility in Jackson, Ohio, is renowned for providing high-quality piping, structural steel, and miscellaneous metals for complex projects.

JobsOhio President and CEO J.P. Nauseef emphasized the significance of Geiger Brothers’ expansion, stating, “Geiger Brothers is a longstanding Ohio company that has been delivering innovative construction and engineering solutions for over a century. Through this investment and expansion of its fabrication division, Geiger Brothers will add 20 new jobs, reinforcing Ohio’s position as a hub of manufacturing resilience and talent.”

Driven by increased industry demand, Geiger Brothers is expanding its fabrication division to enhance its competitiveness in modular construction projects. The investment includes upgrades to the fabrication shop and the acquisition of new machinery and equipment to bolster production capacity and facilitate future growth.

Erik Massie, President and Chief Financial Officer at Geiger Brothers, expressed enthusiasm for the expansion project, stating, “We are delighted to continue investing in the community that has shown unwavering support for us over the years. This expansion will not only create new job opportunities but also enhance our operational efficiencies and enable us to pursue larger and more complex projects in the region.”

Geiger Brothers takes pride in its Southeast Ohio roots, with its headquarters located in Jackson, OH. This strategic location serves as the hub of the company’s operations, overseeing two additional facilities in Ohio and Tennessee. The expansion in Jackson was made possible in part by an $80,000 JobsOhio Grant for building improvements and machinery, along with a $225,000 low-interest loan through the CDBG ED RLF program provided by the Jackson County Economic Development Partnership.

Local officials have also expressed their support for Geiger Brothers’ expansion. Jackson County Board of Commissioners President Paul Haller commented, “The commissioners were pleased to support this expansion project. The collaborative efforts of our economic development partners underscore the attractiveness of Ohio and Jackson County as business destinations.”

By expanding its fabrication capabilities in Jackson, Geiger Brothers aims to strengthen its competitive position in the field installation segment, enabling the production of skids, assemblies, and pipe spools to serve multiple projects across various locations and states.

The expansion project has garnered widespread acclaim and is seen as a significant boost to the region’s economic growth and prosperity.
