LANCASTER, Ohio — Summer in Fairfield County is officially kicking off with a bang.
Jerry’s Fireworks Factory has announced it will host its annual Demo Night on Saturday, June 6, welcoming the public to a completely free evening of live entertainment, pyrotechnics, and major-league sports appearances. This year’s event carries extra weight as the local staple joins the national countdown to celebrate America’s upcoming 250th semi-quincentennial anniversary.
The festivities are set to ignite at 6:00 p.m. at the Jerry’s Fireworks warehouse showroom, located at 2240 Horns Mill Road in Lancaster (just off the Route 33 bypass at the Tarkiln Road exit).
Crew Cat and Prize Wheels: Family Fun Lineup
Organizers have packed the evening with family-friendly pre-show events before the sun goes down.
Jerry’s Fireworks has partnered with Major League Soccer’s Columbus Crew for the event. The club’s beloved mascot, Crew Cat, will be wandering the grounds to meet local fans, sign autographs, and pose for photos.
A variety of local food and drink vendors will be stationed on-site with items available for purchase, accompanied by live music and entertainment throughout the evening. Additionally, the warehouse doors will be open; anyone who makes a retail purchase during the event will earn a ticket to spin a prize wheel packed with summer giveaways.
Sneak-Peek Pyrotechnic Spectacular at Dusk
The main event begins at dusk when the professional crew from Hamburg Fireworks Display, Inc. takes over the launching pads.
The high-energy aerial show serves as a live “demo” catalog for the public, seamlessly blending classic crowd-pleasing shell designs with a sneak-peek preview of brand-new, cutting-edge consumer fireworks hitting shelves for the 2026 season.
Beyond the jaw-dropping entertainment, the event acts as a critical public service campaign for the community.
“We are excited to welcome the community to join us for Demo Night again this year,” said Ken Sprague, president of Hamburg Fireworks Display, Inc. “We enjoy sharing the displays we create, while also promoting firework safety. It’s a great opportunity for families and friends to come together and celebrate America’s 250th anniversary!”
