The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a stolen vehicle, a 2022 GMC Sierra 2500, from a residence in the 2400 block of Big Run Road South in Jackson Township. OnStar contacted the Sheriff’s Office and provided us with tracking information which helped deputies and Franklin Township Police officers locate the stolen vehicle in the area of Mound Street and Clarendon Avenue. OnStar was able to remotely disable the vehicle, which allowed deputies and officers to safely apprehend the two suspects in the stolen vehicle. A male and female suspect were taken into custody.
Franklin County – Sheriff Dallas Baldwin states that the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a stolen vehicle/merchandise incident that occurred the morning of December 7, 2023.
A large amount of stolen merchandise was also recovered in the vehicle, along with a small amount of illegal narcotics.
Sheriff Dallas Baldwin was in the area when the stolen vehicle was located and assisted with the apprehensions.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau is continuing to investigate this incident.
