CIRCLEVILLE, Ohio — The Ohio Investigative Unit, alongside the Circleville Police Department, conducted alcohol compliance checks on Friday, July 3, 2026, to ensure local businesses are following state liquor laws.

Out of eight establishments inspected, four were cited for selling alcohol to minors. Those businesses—Little Bear, Pour House, The Derby, and Ohio Market—now face potential administrative penalties and fines.

Meanwhile, local authorities praised the other four businesses that successfully passed the inspection. An 18-year-old undercover representative attempted to buy alcohol at these locations, but employees refused the sales.

The Circleville Police Department extended its gratitude to The Main St. Pub, Sunoco West, Speedway East, and Short Stop for their commitment to keeping the community safe and keeping alcohol out of the hands of minors.
