In a gesture of community support, Fluor-BWXT (FBP) has granted over $20,000 to the Pike County Sheriff’s Department to aid in the acquisition of new equipment. This donation reflects FBP’s commitment to fostering partnerships and bolstering community programs to enrich and advance the four-county region.

Greg Wilkett, a representative of FBP, highlighted the decision to provide assistance after learning of the Pike County Sheriff’s Department’s need for updated equipment during a County Commissioner’s meeting. “We thought this would be a good opportunity for us to support this valuable program,” Wilkett remarked.

The allocated funds will contribute towards the procurement of modern polygraph equipment and a sealing machine designed to securely store the personal belongings of incarcerated individuals. Additionally, training for personnel utilizing this equipment will be covered by the donation.

Expressing gratitude for the ongoing support from Fluor-BWXT, Pike County Sheriff Tracy Evans emphasized the significance of the donated funds in facilitating the department’s operations. “These purchases will allow us to continue to provide the services needed to safely do our jobs,” Sheriff Evans stated.

Fluor-BWXT’s contribution to the Pike County Sheriff’s Department is part of its broader commitment to community welfare, exemplified by substantial economic investments across the region. With the aim of fostering a sustainable and robust economy in Jackson, Pike, Ross, and Scioto counties, FBP has injected over $5.5 million in economic grants since 2011, resulting in the creation and retention of thousands of jobs.
