Fairfield – Sheriff department says that if you lost a package in the county off your porch you may be able to get it back before Christmas after a major bust.
[Bremen, Ohio, December 20, 2023] On December 19, 2023, at 9:30 pm, Deputies were dispatched to Angle Street in Bremen Ohio on a suspicious person call. Once on scene Deputies detained two males, later identified as Kelby Jay Fox (47-year-old male) of Newark Ohio and Zanyle Hedges (30-year-old male) of Mansfield Ohio. Upon investigation it was discovered the detainees had broken into a storage unit and were in possession of a number of packages they admitted to having stolen from the porches of several Licking and Perry County residences. Hedges and Fox were arrested for Breaking and Entering (a Felony of the Fifth degree) and were transported to the Fairfield County Jail. The Licking County and Perry County Sheriffs Office were advised of the arrests and recovery of the stolen items. Sheriff Lape encourages any resident who is missing a package delivered to their front porch or mail to contact their local law enforcement agency to file a report.
