Lancaster, Ohio (March 1, 2024) – The Fairfield County Alcohol, Drug Addiction and Mental Health (ADAMH) Board and OhioGuidestone celebrated the grand opening of the STARLight Center on February 29th, 2024. This new facility marks a significant step forward in providing accessible mental health and addiction recovery services to the community.

The STARLight Center fulfills a long-standing community need for a safe and welcoming space where residents can receive immediate help during mental health or substance use crises. This first-of-its-kind facility in Fairfield County offers up to 20 beds for individuals seeking immediate support and stabilization.

The center’s establishment is a direct response to the 2019 Fairfield County mental health and substance use levy, demonstrating the community’s commitment to improving access to critical care. ADAMH has played a key role in preparing the center to deliver effective treatment services.

OhioGuidestone will serve as the primary provider at the STARLight Center, offering 24/7 care to patients. The center will provide:
- Mental health stabilization: Short-term stays (3-5 days) for individuals experiencing mental health crises.
- Addiction treatment: Up to 30-day stays for those battling substance use disorders.
